Signature piece by Anna Tran - 2in1 puffy handbag created with shirring technique. Thanks to this technique, the handbag can hold more things than it might seem at first glance. The length of the handbag's handle can be adjusted using the cords, so the handbag can be carried in the hand or crossbody. The handbag is sewn from a full width of fabric in an effort to avoid wasted material. Inside the handbag there is a lining and a stud fastening. 100% satin. Dimensions: 25 x 25 cm (inflates up to 40 cm). Colour: olive green.

Anna created the collection of dresses and handbags after graduating from the UMPRUM in Prague. Anna has now expanded her undergraduate collection A Stich in Time with accessories. Her work is based on the traditional handmade technique of shirring, which she brings into contemporary form.

Anna studied at the University of Applied Arts. Her work focuses on urban women and girls who build their own idealised countryside in a backdrop of concrete. Anna creates products that have a real, not only aesthetic but also emotional value for her, and to which she attaches a personal meaning. They evoke for her a sense of home, security, a feeling of pleasantly familiar nostalgia from the days of her childhood. That is why motifs of checkered tablecloths or fluffy quilts recur in her work.
