Ceramic vase fired in sawdust by Jury Lang. The ceramics are fired in a wooden kiln, where it is difficult to influence the result of the firing. The resulting glaze is an unrepeatable result of chance. The vase has a decorative character, it is not waterproof. The vase is suitable for dried flowers without water or we recommend inserting a smaller container of water for live flowers. Dimensions: h 15,5cm, d 14cm, hole d 4,2 cm.

Jura Lang has been working with clay since about 2005, at that time in the form of modelling figures etc. In 2010 he started to spin on the wheel in the ceramic centre in Koněšín. There he met the wood-fired potters, brothers Nikola and Dan Sek, also Jan Jánský. Thanks to this he discovered the beauty of wood-fired pottery and was gradually drawn into this world. In 2012, in Střížov, where he resides, he built a kiln and began to learn by doing. He hasn’t stopped since.

He fires stoneware and porcelain, all poured with glazes based on feldspars, ashes or low-melting clays.
