The ring resembling rapids is inspired by the Soča River. Silver ring, gilded with 24 kt gold, the advantage is that even though it is gilded, the contact with the environment occurs only on the protruding edges and therefore even after long wearing the gold remains on most of the surface of the ring and creates an interesting contrast effect rather than the impression of a worn ring. Ag 925/1000, gilded with 24 kt gold. Size: 53, other sizes available on request Each piece is a handmade original, may vary slightly from the ring pictured.

Ondřej Stára is a graduate of biomedical engineering at the Czech Technical University and a fifth year student of Eva Eisler’s K.O.V. Studio at UMPRUM. For his collections Stick Together and Layers, he was nominated for the Czech Grand Design 2018 award in the Jewellery Designer of the Year category. All jewellery is created in Ondrej’s hands. Each object bears the stamp of honest handmade work with an emphasis on maximum quality of execution. In his latest works, the central theme is the individual and his relationship to the jewellery, which not only adorns him, but also speaks to him. Ondřej’s work has thus moved beyond the aesthetic level of jewellery and is looking for other ways to embrace this mission.
