RING BUTTERFLY NO. 2

Gabriela Lhotáková is a graduate of Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Glass Design Studio, under the guidance of prof. MgA. Petr Stanický, M.F.A.

Gabriela’s work deals with personal themes, such as memories of childhood, which she tries to capture in the form of fragile, detailed objects, or aerial and kinetic installations.

In her first jewellery collection, “meadow treasures”, she focuses on tiny particles of the bodies of medicinal herbs and meadow flowers. In one piece of jewellery, we can even notice two different particles of different plants, which the artist naturally interconnects and completes with the influence of her own imagination. The result is a collection of hand-shaped jewellery created with love, with the author’s distinctive handwriting and with previously unknown floral motifs.

Each piece, including the earrings, bearing a different motif or size, is a testament to the utmost attention the artist has paid to each piece of jewellery, from the initial design to the handcrafting of the final form.
